Although the overall volume of business school applications has been trending somewhat downwards recently, competition for available slots remains high. The Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC) reports that MBA programs in the United States receive an average of nearly five applications for every open seat. There is still a great deal of international interest in business programs in the United States and Europe. About 39% of all applicants to U.S. business schools are citizens of other countries, mostly in Central, Southern, and Eastern Asia. Approximately 53% of applicants to business programs in Europe are citizens of countries in Asia, Africa, Latin America, and the Middle East. Business schools will happily accept international students if they are qualified. The latest MBA class at the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School, for example, is 33% international, with 65 countries represented. This institution and others like it have extremely high GMAT standards. Wharton's overall GMAT range is 530-790, but the average GMAT total score is 730. The GMAT scores needed for admission to selective business schools require GMAT instruction of the highest quality.

Manhattan Review's GMAT private tutoring and GMAT prep courses have consistently produced acceptances to outstanding graduate business programs at Harvard, Cambridge, Oxford, the University of Pennsylvania, Yale, the University of California-Berkeley, the University of Chicago, Columbia, Stanford, the University of Edinburgh, the University of California-Los Angeles, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, London Business School, the University of Virginia, the University of Michigan, Northwestern, and many more.
